Our Creative Process

This is one of our more favorite parts of what we do, the creative process is everything for me personally. We are all about our creative process before launching a new gift or collaborating with a client to build an amazing gift that is specific to their brand and recipient. We like to focus on what the message is that the giver is trying to say through gift expression. In order for us to keep the momentum we have a few things we practice to get us motivated to put our best foot forward.

Gift of Expression

First Things First!

The first thing we love to do is hear from our client or read all about a brand we will be working with in order to gain a personal connection and a relationship before ever designing anything. Hearing the givers why and letting it resonate with the gifting process is the big ah ha moment for us. There are so many stories that can be told with a kind gesture like giving a gift and we want to make sure we are great at telling that story. Next we love to be able to add an element of personalizing such as a note or a company logo to a gift to make that much more personal.

After we have all the details that is when we go to work! And when I say we go to work that means we get into a mode of creating which means turning some music in the office and getting coffee and snacks ready to go! We are all about keeping out mojo up and energized. We are not keen on stuffy silent work spaces. We use many tools in our creative building process which includes some of our favorites like Trello to make sure we don’t miss a beat, Pinterest to get a little extra inspo, Canva to get a visual effect going and good ole Google to search for a specific gift if we don’t already have something specific in house!

Creatively Inspired!

I also am personally driven by great design such as packaging, graphics and stationary which are all key in the design process as well. We love to use local businesses in support of small business owners like myself. This way we know that the product is sourced from and made by someone personally. The way we package a gift is different every time because of what is inside of the gift and how the giver would like it presented is a major factor. This can be persuaded by aesthetics such as personal messages, company logos, dried floral, if the gift is presented in a box, bag, or basked and we cant forget the ribbons and bows. It depends on the clients preference and we love the package details just as much as the gift.

Being creative is a key ingredient in our gift building process, and staying creatively inspired daily is a big help to maintain that process. .
